Individuals have issues or challenges that they struggle with at various time in their lives. Your interpersonal environment (friends, family, peers, work, social) influence how you feel, behave and think. Individuals seek help with difficulties such as psychological distress, interpersonal conflicts and a lack of support system. Psychotherapy can help you explore challenges in life, view problems and challenges from a different perspective, give you the opportunity to reflect on your situation, gain personal growth, develop a better understanding of things, express your dilemmas and help you to eliminate any obstacles in your life’s journey so that you can gain meaning in your life, heal and achieve a healthy and productive life style.

The therapeutic relationship between us is very important. Psychotherapy is collaborative and a gradual process where we will dialogue, explore ideas, examine issues and brainstorm together (two heads are better than one). It is a dynamic relationship where we endeavour to see the world from your perspective. We are here to support you and provide you with the courage to face the challenges and make changes in your life. Your motivation in therapy is very important and your active participation will facilitate change and promotes functioning in every day life. We will establish goals for therapy (what we will focus on in the time we spend together). We want you to bring your important issues into the therapeutic environment, feel comfortable to self disclose, tell your story, confront stresses in life, make shift in thinking and see things from a new perspective, experience constructive thinking, acquire different and new skills for facing challenges in life, resolve issues and struggles and achieve personal growth. Remember, change does not happen overnight, it requires work and occurs over the course of psychotherapy.
I provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults through individual, couples and family therapy.
Approaches to Therapy
The therapeutic approaches used are diverse and unique to the individual's need. I use short or long-term therapy which can include the following approaches:

Whatever the challenge, and despite the therapeutic approach that is used, the goal is to provide a collaborative environment that is positive and supportive which gives you the courage and strength to create balance, change, growth and hope in your life that is long lasting.
